Google Plus Profiles Get Cover Photos Apr 11th 2012, 15:10 This is the old Google Plus profile page.. .. and here's the new Google+ Profile page. The one big difference is that can now add a cover photo to your profile page on Google Plus similar to Facebook. And if you have applied some clever hacks – like animated GIFs – to your existing profile pages, there's no reason to worry as you still have an option to stick to the older layout which has five thumbnails in a row. I was looking at Chris Messina's photo album on Google Plus (Chris is part of the design team) and spotted this image that he has used as his cover photo – the dimensions are 960×179 pixels while the main profile image is 250×250 pixels.
